An ancient text is contemporized by the accompaniment in this Keith Christopher arrangement. The choral parts are easily attained. The women have a beautiful three-part setting of the second verse where the meter alternates between 2/2 and 4/4. The final verse includes a soaring, soprano descant and requires singers with a very high range. This setting could provide an interesting and distinctive addition to the celebration of Holy Week.
