The F Horn adds a warm, lush texture to this hauntingly beautiful arrangement. Verse one is stated in unison followed by SATB harmony on the second, both over lovely, flowing accompaniment. Ladies in two-part harmony sing verse three with a repeating motive of pathos in the keyboard. With all voices joining on the final verse, the anthem closes with great majesty and modulates before the penultimate phrase for a dramatic conclusion.
