What a lovely setting for the choir to "dress" the congregation's melody on this beautiful setting by C. L. Bass. The first verse is set for choir and congregation in four-part harmony identical to that found in the hymnal. Verses two and three are set in three parts for SA and TB respectively with the congregation women and men singing the melody. The effect of the three parts accentuates the text and allows the congregation to feel that they are a "part" of the choir. A keyboard interlude builds the excitement to the modulation and strong unison final verse proclaiming, "Jesus is Lord!"
